Burns Night

helen — Sun, 09 Feb 2025 12:22:33 +0000

A superb Burns Night celebration was attended by 68 people on the night
of the 24th of January 2025. Everyone made an effort and dressed up in
their tartan and we had an excellent lady piper, to welcome everyone into
the church and then to pipe in the Haggis. We had super feedback
regarding the food and the whisky tasting was a great success. It was a
real fun night. My thanks as always to my wonderful committee, without
whom, none of this would ever happen. The church looked amazing and
the night ran like clockwork

Superb evening at All Saints Church music night 🎶 🎵 last night. It was well attended and we were entertained by the beautiful Stacey Lynn, she performed a range of numbers, something to suit everyone. Stacey will be back in February on Friday the 28th for those who might have missed her. Stacey is also going to sing at our Remembrance service on Sunday the 10th of November at a special WW2 lunch event.

Pet Service

The Pet Service on the 19th of October was well attended at All Saints
Church West Markham. We welcomed six dogs; Jennifer with Amber,
Mia and Amber Holt, Timothy, Fred and Ginny Hayton and Jasper the
guide dog for the blind, sponsored by Judith and Hugh was there in
spirit.

We were also joined by Herbie the tortoise, who came along
(albeit a bit sleepy) with Hollie. Thank you to everyone who attended
and supported, with and without pets. It was lovely to see the church
full of children and animals and they were all beautifully behaved.

September ended up being a really busy month, we celebrated another
Baptism in our beautiful church, using the ancient old font. We also had our
monthly quiz, which was really well attended and great fun.

Carols At The Church

admin — Fri, 08 Dec 2023 18:00:54 +0000

Super Carols and Supper at All Saints Church last night, fantastic turn out. Thank you to our wonderful committee and all our supporters who made the night such a success. Special thanks must go to Victoria Keiller who stepped up at the last minute to play the organ. Claudia (as in our keep fit – Renew you trainer) who’d have thought you could sing like that! A beautiful solo piece, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Paul Carruthers for supplying, free of charge, our beautiful Christmas tree. Maloneys also supplied our meat for the supper, all at a discounted price. We are so pleased with the support we are receiving and we can’t thank everyone enough… it’s wonderful to see our beautiful church full of people and so alive.
